About Me

Some Systems Integrators can not resist the urge to list every piece of hardware or software they have ever worked on, I will try to not do this.

Dim Distant Past
I still have, somewhere, a few Intel 4004 4-Bit Microprocessors. My hands have been yellow from Ferric Chloride, and I have cut acres of Vero board into small pieces while lusting over a new wire-wrap tool.

My first introduction to programming was with the HP 9810, followed by the HP 6400 Development System, and then of course the rest of the family of handheld and desktop models through to the HP 3000 and 9000's. I knew one day there would be a world beyond Rocky Mountain Basic, though I have to admit I liked it at the time.

Somewhere in the middle
Countless PLC's and SCADA systems. Some are now obsolete, others have been bought out and changed names, but most still exist in some form or other.

Present
I am a virtualization junkie, happily pay for good software but love great freeware.
Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) hardware and software are my current development platforms.
